Point as Input

——

Luminous Adventure

Luminous Adventure is an exercise involving the development of a Unity scene for mobile interactions. It uses a computer mouse, transformed with cardboard into a wood stick, as a directional tool to guide attention within the scene. This project experiments with the concept of directionality as a form of input, encouraging users to engage with the game in a more interactive and focused way. The use of low-fidelity materials like cardboard adds a tactile dimension to the digital experience, blending the physical and virtual realms.

Design Process
What I Learned

We can think of a trigger as a magic circle. When an object enters this circle, it activates a magic spell (the script). The script then decides what kind of magic happens – it could be an action, an event, or a change in the environment, depending on the spell we’ve written.

To activate the trigger: Have two objects, both with colliders, with at least one having a rigid body.
