Wu Qin

Wu Qin is an innovative virtual reality game that blends the ancient Chinese Five-Animal Exercises with emerging technology to promote physical well-being. This game is designed to combat the growing concern of sedentary lifestyles, by providing a fun and engaging way to exercise. Through VR, players mimic the movements of five animals - the tiger, deer, bear, monkey, and bird - each offering unique health benefits. Wu Qin is more than just a game; it's a cultural journey that makes fitness enjoyable and accessible, encouraging users to embrace a more active lifestyle.

Design Process
What I Learned

Practiced visual effects and animation in Unity 3D.

Tried using Rokoko for motion capture, although the results were not very satisfactory.

Learned the importance of simplicity in digital-physical interaction design. Complexity can be counterproductive.

Next Step

Develop more animal gestures.

Enhance visual effects and post-processing.

Implement a multi-player system.
