ADAS UX Design Intern

At the end of September 2021, I had the privilege to join Xiaomi Automobile and start my seven-month UX design internship in the ADAS design team. During my time there, I learned a lot about autonomous driving and received valuable hands-on experience while being challenged and growing as a designer. I am grateful for the knowledge, skills, connections, and the wealth of new experiences I gained there.

UI Design

Assisted UI designers and visual designers with icon and animation design for HMI and style exploration for simulated reality interfaces (real-time 3D visualization).

Unfortunately, due to an NDA, I am unable to share additional details regarding UI design.

What I Learned

Realized the potential for technology to greatly enhance the driving experience and was inspired by the endless possibilities of future autonomous driving.

Became more familiar with the UX research process and developed the skills to collaborate with people from different departments to produce deliverables as a team.

Pushed out of my comfort zone and communicated with a diverse group of people inside and outside the company to conduct user research and produce professional videos, including my first time shooting a video professionally, giving me valuable and exciting new experiences.
